I burned a video I made on the computer to a blank DVD I put it in a DVD player and it says wrong disc Help!?

The Disc is a Memorex DVD+R and the player is a Coby and since the video I burned off my computer onto the blank is a video I made and it could be watched on my computers video player I’m not sure what’s up and does the fact I can’t play it on a Coby mean it won’t play on other DVD players not Computers

how did you burn the video? what is the original file type of the video? if its .mpg or .avi, in order to burn that on a DVD you need to convert it first. I personally use Nero, it does all that stuff for me.
